Natural Sea Sponge - the ultimate bathing experience

Apart from being a delicious way to shower or bathe - sea sponges are a healthy and natural way to exfoliate and cleanse your skin. 

Our Holland Creek Sea Sponges are cut by hand from the ocean floor.  Studies have shown that by cutting at the head and leaving the roots intact, the sponge can continue to grow encourages regeneration of the sponge.  Our sponges are approximately 6 inches in diametre but can be up to 8 inches.  

*Why is a Holland Creek sea sponge so expensive?

Everything is done by hand.  Sea sponges are not easy to harvest.  Our sponges are hand cut individually by divers from the sea floor in the Carribean to ensure sustainability and protection of their natural habitat. They are then washed and bleached  by hand using . Trimmed into shape by hand.  Shipping costs have also become extremely expensive.

But - IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT FOR A LUXURIOUS BATHING EXPERIENCE - whether you are a shower lover or a bath tub soaker :)

How long will your sponge last?

Depending on how you care for your sponge, it could last a few weeks to a few months - the one I use has lasted 3 months and still going strong.  It depends on how much you use it and whether you rinse it out and let it dry before using it again.

For best results and to extended the life of your sponges, please follow these tips:

• Rinse the sponge thouroughly after each use. 
• You can also occasionally (depending on how often used) wash it with a solution of warm water and baking soda. Baking soda revitalizes its cellular structure.
• Let sponge dry completely after each use.
